Gourmet food hall to open this spring
Pine Street Concessions, a new gourmet food hall at 75 Pine Street in New Canaan, located in a one-and-one-half-story steel-framed agricultural structure with walls of glass and an outdoor patio, will open its doors in the spring. The new facility will offer organic prepared foods from three different artisan-chefs, each of whom will have his or her own retail counter space and kitchen, and there will be a central, shared space with tables for eating in, as well as a patio with tables outside. Takeout will also be available.
A large wood-burning oven is planned for Pine Street, under the direction of Chef Dante Mirafiore, who will offer a variety of wood-oven Italian style food, including the classic wood-fired oven pizza, as well as beer and wine.
Chef Miyuki Mirafiore will open a noodle shop and will be serving lunch, dinner and snacks with an Asian street food flair. Anticipated are traditional ramen noodles and steamed buns for classic Asian sandwiches, as well as chicken wings and salads. Miyuki plans to source organic ingredients from local farms whenever possible, and to serve beer and wine, as well as traditional Japanese sodas.
Chef Alyssa Kadow is also preparing to open at Pine Street Concessions, and will be presenting Greens On The Go, a California-inspired eatery, serving fresh salads, nutrient-rich grain bowls, artisanal toasts, desserts, and daily specials. Greens On The Go fare will be primarily plant-based, and ingredients will be organic and sourced locally whenever possible, according to Chef Kadow.
Additionally, Pine Street Concessions will host a Farmers’ Market Table, where varying fresh foods and other items will be offered seasonally, such as cheese, bread, flowers, etc. For more information, visit pinestreetconcessions.com, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
